Ardielle, an 8th grader, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 13 years old. She received very little information on the severe difficulties that came with the disease and how to manage it. After the death of her mother in 2012 from diabetes-related complications, she was left unable to continue treatment for her condition.

Ardielle was eventually invited to attend a Conversation Map™ session with other children. With the new knowledge gained from attending these sessions, Ardielle is now a frequent visitor to the hospital and is enrolled in Idf’s “Life for a child“ programme. her A1c improved from 11% to 8%, and her school performance has improved as well. through the use of the Conversation Map sessions, we have helped this child improve both her health and outlook on life!
